Interview and Instrument Recording
I had teamed up with my brother who is a music tech student at Demontford University to help me record the sound of the instruments as best as possible. Dan unfortunatly could not make the shoot on this day due to other problems. I decided not to cancel filming because i did not feel it would be professional or practical, as filming would need to be completed by the end of this week and it was arranged in advance that we would film the interviews and instruments on this day.
We carried the equipment to the location, and filmed the interviews (which i had written), followed by the interviewee playing their instrument. The audio recording was especially good, for both the dialogue and the music. The music played does not require release forms, as they are on royalty free contracts.

Planning
Unfortunately I came to a decision that we could not involve green screen in our Corporate Video. This is because our client is not available on the day that it available in the Atrium. We have decided to conduct the Interviews inside Music Learning Curve, as it would need less planning and the sound in the environment is more controlled, unlike the Atrium which would add reverb on the Dialogue, making the Corporate Video's audio not very good, as the majority would be the interviews used as a voice over.
Prior to this decision Dan suggested that we film the interviews with their specialised instruments. This would make the interviews more personal and the surrounding objects or the background would be visually interesting.

Filming B-roll
We began filming. We started with B-roll footage because on the day it was too busy to film instruments or interviews.
I set up one camera and tripod to film a time lapse. This did not go so well, however it was more of an experiment, and now know that the camera should be pointed towards a different part in the location. I also recorded some foley on the fostex field recorder with two T-Bone EM9900 Shot gun Microphones, just incase audio on other shots needed to be continuous, or if there was a legal obligation etc.
Me and Dan decided to shoot other artistic shots of some available instruments, which were drums. We toggled the focus to create different forms of depth in the image to make it more visually interesting, and they turned out well.
We encountered a slight problem when young children were running around, but the equipment was not in the way for them to run into or play with.

Music Learning Curve
Me and Dan decided to change clients, as we still did not have enough information to have a production schedule. I had a meeting today with Music Learning Curve and they seemed happy with the treatment that I wrote. We also discussed scheduling for the interviews and b-roll and it has been organised for next week, although we will be filming this saturday. During the week I can organise an appropriate day for the green screen with the desired time period - (12-2.30)
Me and Dan can use this week for risk assessments and equipment booking so we are ready and organised for saturday and next week.

Corporate Video

Dan was having trouble with keeping in contact with our first client, so we decided if we still did not know about filming locations or have an appropriate schedule by friday we would change clients. Just incase this happened i made a rough treatment and highlighted why we may have to change clients.
Green Screen
Looking at the Sun Pop Studio Video's we noticed the interviewee had a glow around their outline. We need to experiment weather this was done in Production or Post-Production.
I have Organized an Experiment Green Screen on Friday 6th June.
On Thursday 5th June I am helping setting up the green screen with Jim for the Open Evening to gain a better knowledge on how to set it up.

Interviews
Me and Dan decided to set the Interviews in front of a green screen so we can make the background white like in the Sun Pop Studio video's. It should be Interesting as well as being easier to light and make the background a pure white surface

Primary Research
Me and Dan constructed questionnaires for Primary Research. The first was for the look of a Corporate Video. The Second was about Skeleton Productions and the Third was about Music Learning Curve. Dan wrote the first and second, where as I only wrote the third. We went into the Old Market Square to get our results, and we asked 20 people of various ages.

The Treatment

After the brief me and Dan explored what decisions to make for the Corporate Video. This involved making a treatment and script. We both decided that the Video should be separated into three different parts.
- 'We are Skeleton Productions'
- 'This is what we do'
- 'Here are examples of our work'

1st Initial Meeting

Here are the notes I made from the first initial meeting.
I have Separated the notes into two pages. The first page presents notes about the company, which is not shown on the website. The second are techniques and ideas for the Corporate Video.
We were also given an example of a type of interview technique, where the 'interviewee' only has a white background, to make it more 'people focused' and basic. Sun Pop Studio <- this is what was suggested as an example.
